We came across a great Indie surprise in this morning’s Oregonian. Big Table Farm, a 2009 Indie alum, is featured in Katherine Cole’s article about winemakers who use their land for more than making wine. Described as an “animal farm that makes wine on the side,” Big Table Farm has a small and private but thriving meat-selling business. Eggs from the farm’s chickens can be found in some of Portland’s top restaurants.
Want to try some of the farm fresh goodness for yourself? Clare Carver and Brian Marcy of Big Table Farm host regular brunches and dinners for their wine customers that focus on the meat and produced raised on their land.
